Gina Cagle

Beach Coach & Indoor/Beach Volleyball Instructor

Gina is the third born of TSA owners, Marty and Mindy. Gina has played both indoor and beach volleyball for the last 10 years, attending her first volleyball camp at the mere age of 7. She began beach volleyball with the Spiking Vikings, a team that Gina and her partner, Amiah, and the OGs named when they were only 10 years old, and formed specifically for Gina by her grandfather, 18 year Catholic volleyball coach and West Florida Waves head coach, Farley Dodson. Gina started playing indoor for West Florida Waves Volleyball Club at the age of 11 on the 12U Power team, and has been on the Power teams for each year over the last 7 Club seasons. She was taught by her grandfather to play all around, which has benefited her greatly in her growth and ability to play in any position at any given time for her teams. Gina is currently a senior at Tate High School and dual-enrolled for her second year at Pensacola State College. Gina is a 4 year Varsity volleyball player, playing in the position as Libero and Defensive Specialist all 4 years, and has served as Captain the last 3 years. She led her team to win the County Championship game last year and was featured in an article in the PNJ as a result of her leadership and athleticism. Gina received the MaxPreps Player of the Match this season against Pensacola Catholic High School, where she played against most of her Club teammates and her best friend, beach partner and teammate, Amiah Butler, daughter of TSA Instructor Meka Butler. She maintains a GPA of 3.9 and will graduate from Tate in May 2022, with a year and a half worth of college credits and her nursing prerequisites completed. Gina, like her older sister, plans to pursue her RN and BSN and play college volleyball. Although Gina would prefer to play beach volleyball at the collegiate level, she would also love to play both indoor and beach in college to offset any student debt, because of her love for the game. Her parents are happy to have her at TSA as a beach volleyball coach and providing private lessons and valuable knowledge to young volleyball players, as it is her goal to be a coach, and many youth players look up to her because of her love and knowledge of the game.
